Lovato continued, "We are a different breed, we [are] alcoholics, but it is just like having any other disease - you have to learn to live with it."

The "Let It Go" singer admitted that it took her parents saying that she would no longer be able to see her little sister, Madison that got that former Disney starlet to a turning point in her life.

She explained, "Mom saying that made me realize that my life was a shambles and, although I had a lot of success, I was also very alone and miserable," adding, "I love Madison and one of the main reasons I wanted to get better was because I didn't want to be apart from her."

Demi Lovato, 21, also chatted a bit about dating her 34-year-old boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama because he's older and more mature.

She said, "The problem when you go public with a personal relationship is that when it ends, it ends publicly as well."
