It is no secret that Demi Lovato is a firm supporter of gay rights and the "Neon Lights" artist has even signed up as ambassador for the Human Rights Campaign, Americans For Marriage Equality.
According to Entertainment Wise, the campaign calls for pledging for same-sex marriage in the United States.
Demi Lovato recently starred in a video for fans and any same sex advocates. In the clip she said, "I believe that love comes in all different shapes, sizes and colors."
Demi explained, "So whether you're LGBT or straight, your love is valid, beautiful and an incredible gift. So let's protect them, and strengthen the institution of marriage by allowing loving, caring and committed same-sex couples to legally marry."
She continued, "Please join me and the majority of American citizens who support marriage equality."
Wilmer Valderrama's girlfriend previously revealed that her grandfather whom she never met was gay. The "Really Don't Care" artist explained, "It makes so much sense as to why I feel so connected to standing up for what I believe in."
Demi Lovato added, "When I heard the word 'trailblazer,' I automatically thought of my grandfather and him coming out in the '60s. It's very powerful. I couldn't be more proud of him."
The former Disney princess even shot the upbeat music video to her single at L.A. Pride. She also flirted with her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in the clip.
Demi Lovato explained, "When I originally wrote it, it was a breakup song," adding, "But now I have sung it so many times that it kind of no longer has a significance in that sort of way. When I sing it, I always want to inspire and empower.
"I thought what other people could relate to really not caring what people think. I thought of bullies and the LGBT community who are constantly scrutinized. What better place is there than L.A. Pride to celebrate who you are and not really caring what people think?"
