Christian Bale is now a father of two!
The 40-year-old "The Dark Knight" actor and his wife Sandra "Sibi" Blažić recently welcomed their second child together. A representative for the Oscar-winning actor confirmed to E! News that the couple had a baby boy.
The two are already parents to Emmeline, according to The Daily Telegraph. Emmeline was born on March 27, 2005 in Santa Monica, California, WENN reported.
Being a notoriously private couple, Christian and Sibi never announced they were expecting their second child, but pregnancy rumors were confirmed after the actor's wife debuted her baby bump while walking the red carpet at the 86th Academy Awards in March, People reported.
"They are truly a supportive couple, he and Sibi are thrilled," an insider previously told Us Weekly about Sibi's second pregnancy. "She's been traveling with him while he's been touring around for 'American Hustle.'"
"The America Psycho" star opened up about being a father during an interview with Esquire back in 2010. "The last few years of my life have been spent just watching animation -- for my daughter -- and getting a kick out of that," he said. "I love anything that she likes. If she's getting a kick out of it, I love it. I find myself tearing up at the most ridiculous things now, sitting next to my daughter while she's watching a movie."
But no matter how happy he is about his family, he said that it is something he would like to keep out of public knowledge. "I've got incredible pride for my family. I've absolutely fallen into that cliché of a dad who could just happily talk about my daughter endlessly," he told the men's magazine. "But it's not what I'm about in terms of being an actor. I don't want people to know about that."
Bale married Sibi, a former model, make-up artist, and personal assistant to actress Winona Ryder, in January 2000.
