Say good bye to Christian Bale and hello to Ben Affleck as the first photo of Batman has been released.

According to Us Weekly, just one day just one day after teasing fans with a partial photo of the redesigned Batmobile, director Zack Snyder unveiled the Dark Knight of Gotham City.

The creative perspective behind "Batman vs. Superman" debuted the photo to his twitter account on Tuesday, May 13th.

The picture features a noir-like, cinematic shot of a ridiculously buff Batman dressed in his famous armored suit standing next to his Batmobile that looks similar to what Christian Bale drives in the Christopher Nolan directed flick.

Attached to the photo is the caption, "I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman #Batmobile #Gotham. "

On May 12th Snyder first teased fans with a glimpse of the Batmobile which was hidden underneath a large covering,

He added the caption, "Could be time to pull the tarp...Tomorrow?"

The "Batman vs. Superman" film which is set for a 2016 release stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

In casting the actor to replace Christian Bale as Batman Snyder insisted, "Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry's Superman."

He added, "He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne."
