Rick Ross was arrested after a North Carolina performance for failing to show up for a court appearance. Stemming from a 2013 marijuana possession charge in Greensboro, the rapper was taken into custody and released on $1,000 bail.

Susan Danielsen, spokesperson for the Greensboro Police Department, confirmed Ross, whose real name is William L. Roberts, was arrested after finishing his spot at the SuperJam concert.

This was not Ross' first time in trouble with the law over pot. He was also arrested in 2008 in Miami for possession and carrying a concealed firearm, then was charged again with a misdemeanor for marijuana in 2011.

Host Chris Rock dissed the rapper last night during the BET Music Awards.

"Dre has Beats, Rick Ross has DiaBEATS," he said.

Ross fired back on Twitter, writing, "Chris Rock washed up haaaa."

He can be heard on Chris Brown's latest single "New Flame," which also features Usher.

Some lyrics include, "Who said you can't find love in a club? / 'Cause I wanna tell them they wrong," Brown sings on the chorus. "Come on baby, try a new thing / 'Cause I wanna spark a new flame."
