Pippa Middleton kept mum on her life in the spotlight, and is speaking out for the first time in an two-part interview with "Today's" Matt Lauer. Find out what she had to say!

Lauer flew to London for the chat, and joked he had to catch an overnight flight for the hour-long chat.

"I hate to say it but I was actually in America last week."

She giggled, adding, "Sorry."

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister is fresh off the heels of her Race Across America bike tour, which she completed with her brother James and a group of five other men. Middleton dubbed it a "brilliant" experience, and said she did not suffer saddle sores.

All proceeds benefited an educational charity for teammate James Matthews' brother, the Michael Matthews foundation, who passed away in 1999 during a descent from Mt. Everest. According to PEOPLE he was the youngest Brit at 22 to make the summit.

It is unclear exactly how much money the team raised for the event, but according to the Race Across America website, it costs $20,000 per person to enter.

"It wasn't too bad. I think it was because I chose a particularly comfy saddle," she joked.

Middleton is a frequent participator in charity races. She skied in an endurance ski race, Switzerland's Engadin Mountain, and the Highland Cross.

She is also an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation. In July Middleton hopes to participate in the 6.5km Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race on their behalf.

"I was shocked to learn that nearly three times more women die from coronary heart disease than breast cancer ... and I look forward to working with the BHF to highlight to women the risks of heart disease and importantly, how they can reduce them," she said in a statement.

The interview airs on "Today" on Monday and Tuesday. Watch the video clip here and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
