One characteristic of hooded eyes is having a heavy brow bone with a deep-set crease, like actress, Blake Lively.

With this, a beauty expert advised to apply primer to keep the eye makeup in place.

Makeup artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis, explained to Glamour UK, the tips and tricks to properly applying eyeshadow. "When applying eye makeup keep the eyes open to find the natural crease," he mentioned, adding, "Use a compact mirror and look down into it."

He also added to dab the eyeshadow slightly above the crease to make it more visible. Lastly, blend the shadow using straight outwards motion instead of dragging up or down on the outer edges.

Makeup Tips for Round Eyes:

This eye shape features prominent and circular eyes as seen on Zooey Deschanel, Olsen twins, and Katy Perry. Makeup expert Adeola Gboyega explained to the publication that the key here is to focus on the outer corners of the eyes to make it look more balanced. She recommends using neutral color eye shadows on the lid and transitioning to darker shades towards the outer corners to accentuate the eyes.

Almond eyes have smaller eyelids and longer in width.This makes it more of an oval shape, just like an almond.  Interestingly, this eye shape can pull off pretty much any kind of makeup look. One great example of celebrity who have almost eyes is Mila Kunis.  

Celebrity makeup artist and Ramy Cosmetics founder Ramy Gafni previously told Today that applying light color on the lids and darker eyeshadow on the outer half crease can emphasize the almond-shaped eyes.  "Apply eye shadow across the eyelids, apply eyeliner to the upper and lower lash line. Apply the same shadow you used on the eyelids to just below the eyeliner on the lower lash line. Follow with mascara," he explained.

Mostly common among Asian women, monolid eyes have a less apparent crease and don't reveal much of the eyelids. With this, you can play around with colors such as smokey eyes. You can use dark on the crease but use shimmering or neutral eyeshadow on inner corners to balance the light and dark hues.

Close-set eyes means your peepers are less than one eyeball width apart making them a bit close to each other. Celebrities who have these eye shapes are Miley Cyrus and Angelina Jolie.

With this, Adeola Gboyega told Glamour UK that women who have close-set eyes need to focus on the eyes' top and bottom parts.

She recommends adding reflective or "shimmer shadow and applying it to the inner corner of each eye" to give the illusion of wider set eyes.
