'X Factor' Winner Ben Haenow's 'Something I Need' Is Christmas Number One Single, Beats Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ 'Uptown Funk’

United Kingdom's 2014 "The X Factor" winner Ben Haenow's single "Something I Need" has sold 214,000 copies, claiming the No. 1 spot at the UK Christmas charts, BBC reported.

"It's an incredible end to my year. I'm absolutely shocked, I can't believe it," the 29-year-old former van driver said. "I'm gonna go and have a few good drinks with my mates - definitely more than a few good drinks to celebrate."

Haenow said it was incredible to "have even been in the running for Christmas number one against some of the names that were in the race."

"Something I Need," which was originally recorded by the American band OneRepublic, put the collaboration song "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars in second place.

Recently, Bruno Mars wore hair curlers during his performance of "Uptown Funk" with Ronson on the finale episode of the United States' "The Voice."

An insider told Hollywood Life Bruno Mars wore the curlers because "he thought that the look was very cool and funky, and he wanted to pay homage to the time of this type of music of the 70s."

The insider added Bruno Mars did the same thing in the music video "so he wanted the performance and the music video to mesh and just look cool. He really likes the look and may continue it."

Next to Haenow's "Something I Need" and Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" at the UK Christmas charts is "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran while Olly Murs "Up" featuring Demi Lovato and Wealdstone Raider's "Got No Fans" are at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Also, Sheeran's album "X" is currently the best-selling album in the UK. He recently joined list of celebrities supporting the upcoming movie titled "Jacob And I," which is based on 34-year-old Rebecca Rian's one stillbirth and nine miscarriages within five years, Daily Mail reported.

Other celebrities who offered to help fund the film are Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessie J, Simon Cowell and Robert Downey Jr.
