Ben Affleck’s 'Gone Girl' Co-Actor Neil Patrick Harris: I Showed Penis, Too; ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Alum Accepts Feeling Nuts Challenge

While he is known as an openly gay actor married to David Burtka, "How I Met Your Mother" alum Neil Patrick Harris played a straight male opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike in David Fincher's latest film "Gone Girl."

According to Harris, Jennifer Garner's husband is not the only one who had frontal nudity in the box-office hit film.

"Apparently, you can, yes," Harris confirmed to The Daily Beast he showed his penis in "Gone Girl," where he plays Desi, the obsessed ex of the titular role played by Pike.

On their sex scene, Pike told Glamour, "Neil was incredible at that. We were in hysterics in the editing room. It was very funny doing (rehearsals for the) scene."

Recently, Garner also appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" confirming that Affleck is "showing his penis" in the film.

"What I have to say is, 'You're welcome,'" Garner jokingly said. "I just try to consider myself a charitable person and I wanted to give back. You give me so much, I wanted to give something back to all of you."

Meanwhile, Harris followed Hugh Jackman and took the Feeling Nuts Challenge with retired NFL football defensive Michael Strahan.

Following the success of Ice Bucket Challenge, Feeling Nuts Challenge is intended to raise awareness about testicular cancer.

"Balls!! @MichaelStrahan & I accept @RealHughJackman 's #FeelingNuts challenge. We now nominate: @MarkConsuelos," the "How I Met Your Mother" alum tweeted.

Along with Jackman, Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss and John Lithgow, Harris and his husband Burtka were among the attendees of the fund-raising gala for London's National Theatre, hosted by Anna Wintour, Michael Kors and Rufus Norris on Oct. 7, Tuesday, Vanity Fair reported.

Having four-year-old twins, Harris and Burtka shared about their ideas on theater shows for children.

"We tested the waters on a Disney cruise ship that had a 40-minute show of 'Aladdin.' Matinees are at nap time and the evening shows are at bedtime, so it's a bit tricky right now," Harris said.

Burtka also said, "Their first Broadway show was 'The Lion King.' They sat through the first act, we got to intermission and ate some candy, and then I was tired, the kids were tired, and Neil looked over and all three of us were asleep."
