‘She’s the Man’ Actress Amanda Bynes Seized for DUI

Amanda Bynes seemed to have fallen off the wagon again when she was seized in Los Angeles at 3 a.m. on Sunday after police determined she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

The former "She's the Man" star reportedly had been driving alone in a 2013 white Mercedes ML350 when she was busted by cops.

A California Highway Patrol officer allegedly saw the 28-year-old blow through a red light and then suddenly stop in the middle of an intersection in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

"She ran a red light and stopped in the middle of (a) T-shaped intersection. Our officer observed her, and she appeared under the influence. She was unable to complete field sobriety tests, at which point she was taken to our station," CHP spokesman Leland Tang told the New York Daily News.

He said the former child star was then evaluated for drugs and failed to complete the series of hand-eye coordination tasks.

As to whether Bynes admitted on taking anything, Tang said the young woman "didn't make any spontaneous comments."

And while authorities are reportedly still waiting for toxicology tests results, an unidentified source told TMZ that the "Hairspray" actress was on a stimulant and she is suspected to be high on weed during the incident.

Bynes, who had a "disheveled" appearance according to the incident report, was charged with misdemeanor and was detained at the Van Nuys, Calif., station on $15,000 bail before she was released later on the same day, E! News reported.

The former Nickelodeon star was first arrested for DUI in 2012, but dodged jail sentence by completing an inpatient treatment and a three-year probation, according to People.

A fire incident last year also had her detained on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold. She then underwent treatment at a hospital and rehab facility.

In April, Bynes' lawyer Tamar Arminak, reportedly denied speculations that the actress suffers from schizophrenia.

After her release from rehab in December 2013, Bynes reportedly enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she seemed to be making great improvements and recovery following a series of legal troubles and distrurbing behavior. However, when her parents' conservatorship ended earlier this month, "things started going haywire," a TMZ source said.

Bynes, who was previously living with her parents moved out of their place and is is said to be currently residing in an Orange County apartment. She reportedly started smoking weeds for weeks which apparently got her in trouble again.
