Kate Upton covers the "Vogue UK" June 2014 issue in a hot Dolce and Gabbana retro bathing suit, following a series of sexy shots. The curvaceous beauty tells contributing editor Alexa Chung her real struggles with the industry.
"It's weird that in the press they'll be like, your biggest fight was with the industry and the designers, and I'm like, no, my biggest fight was with my agents, trying to get them to sign me into the castings," she explains.
"I thought, how I'm going to come out of this will be an example for girls."
"The Other Woman" star reveals she is flattered to be considered this generation's Marilyn Monroe, and is heavily influenced by her style.
"I always thought Marilyn was so beautiful and iconic, it was amazing to even be mentioned in the same sentence as her," she continued.
"But I feel like nowadays it's easy to be genuine and show your personality, whereas I don't think Marilyn had that opportunity. And clearly she had a dark side, and I don't have that."
Both beauties launched their careers as models then later turned to film. Upton had roles in "Tower Heist" and "The Three Stooges" before starring in "The Other Woman."
This was Upton's second British Vogue cover. She also holds one on the US edition. Twitter was in uproar after the publication teased a photo of her body on their account.
Upton also covers the June issue of Cosmopolitan Australia featuring the Sports Illustrated model in sexy, yet tasteful dresses.
"The Other Woman," which also stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann, premiered in the US and UK on Friday. According to The Daily Mail, by Monday the film had already grossed $25 million.
