It looks like Ryan Gosling caused quite a frenzy over the weekend when a fake Facebook page claiming to be Eva Mendes' boyfriend's official site told a big lie about a certain pregnancy.

According to Us Weekly, on Saturday, June 14th, the fake Facebook shared a photo of the actor holding a baby with a very detailed caption attached to it.

The caption read, "This father's day, I've decided to tell the story of how I became a father," adding, "This little guy was only 9 months old when I became his dad.

"His mom and I were great friends before she passed away from cancer. I promised her, I'd always look after him. So, I had decided to step up and become his dad. He brought me so much joy. He was my everything."

The post continued, "1 year later after the adoption, his biological father wanted him. Of course, I put up a fight, but he won. That 1 year of being his father taught me how to love unconditionally.

"We have to stop and be thankful for our children and children should stop and be thankful for their parents. What I truly learned most of all is, every child needs love."

While the Facebook profile is not verified and only has 169,000 likes, the post received more than 930,000 likes as it was a day shy of Father's Day.

Many fans praised Ryan Gosling's "decision" to share the alleged story. One fan wrote, "Reason 90636 why you're the most perfect man on the planet!"

Meanwhile, another fan wrote, "Omg you are utterly AMAZING!"

The post coincidentally was linked to a site that gives you the option to purchase a T-shirt that reads "Young Wild and Free."

The site claims that the proceeds from the sale of the $22.50 priced shirt goes to the Orphanage Home Foundation which according to the celebrity news site does not even exist.

Also fans are told that purchasing a shirt gets them entered into a contest to spend the day with Ryan Gosling.
