It looks like Ryan gosling's girlfriend Eva Mendes doesn't like skin baring clothing when she is off the red carpet.

The "How to Catch a Monster" starlet admitted that she isn't one to dress up sexy when she is simply walking down the street.

According to Entertainment Wise, the actress spoke with Flare magazine and admitted she isn't a fan of showing a lot of skin. She explained, "I don't like when it's just me and I'm not working. I don't like feeling like I'm on display.

"It's not that I'm against body-conscious clothes - I have worn them on the red carpet or out-but when I'm photographed in them, I always regret it."

Mendes revealed that it is actually difficult for her to pick out more modest clothing. She said, "For me, it's always been the easy way out. When I wear something a little more revealing, I think, 'Oh, gosh, I should have been more creative.'"

Despite the challenging deliberations, "The Place Beyond the Pines" actress confessed that she puts a lot of thought in choosing her everyday outfits.

The 40-year-old admitted, "It's an important part of my day, what I choose to wear and put out there in the world. I also have to remember that I probably will be photographed at the gas pump."

However, the fashionable actress revealed that jeans are strictly off limits in her wardrobe. She confessed, "I'm always in dresses, in skirts - I think they're so easy," she explained.

"People are always saying, 'I love jeans, they're so casual and easy,' but I think jeans aren't easy. They're my worst nightmare."
