Rita Ora had no idea Calvin Harris would confirm their split on Twitter, and apparently she was mortified! She said in the past he was the first person she fell in love with, so we understand why she got upset.

"Rita was left embarrassed when he tweeted that it was all over. She didn't think he was going to make the announcement, so she was shocked," an insider revealed to The Sun.

We told you last week the EDM DJ tweeted about their breakup.

"To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best," he wrote.

Ora has yet to comment on the split, though she did admit she is not a fan of long-distance relationships.

"I'm not a fan of long-distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you," she recently told The Mirror."It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you've got."

"You have to fly each other out, you just have to," she added. "Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It's an effort, but you make it work. I'm not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you've got."

The source explained Harris called it quits and there was much turmoil in the relationship at the end.

"It was Calvin's decision to end the relationship. They had been arguing for months and had grown apart. She was constantly posting snaps of her with other groups of friends and her trip to Mexico and photos of her with Khalil were the final straw."

"Calvin likes more privacy than Rita and he hated the extra attention that came with being her boyfriend," they added.
