Even though Demi Lovato is still going strong with boyfriend Wilmer Valderamma, the "Neon Lights" singer has insisted that she does not "have a type" when it comes to dating.

According to E! News, during her chat with the new issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas the "Let It Go" songstress confirmed she doesn't look for a particular type of man.

Lovato explained, "I have [dated Latinos], but it's not important to me-I don't have a nationality preference."

The 21-year-old went on to reveal, "I don't really have a type. I don't think that you fall in love with someone for their clothes or their style. For me, it's about the person."

Even though Demi Lovato is not against romance, the "Heart Attack" singer admitted that she is hesitant when it comes to singing about sex.

Although the former Disney starlet tries to avoid singing about sex she admitted she is certainly "not against it."

Selena Gomez's good friend explained, "Sex is a part of life and it's a personal decision. Some people put it in their music, which is awesome and good for them."

She added, "But for me, there's still that weird feeling in the back of my head that's like, 'All right, I know that my mom and dad are going to hear it and my little sister, and that's really weird for me.'

"But if I feel like expressing myself in that kind of way, then I'll be like, 'All right, guys-look the other way!'"

Demi Lovato recently made headlines after racy photos of herself and boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama hit the internet.

Since the leak of the pictures the artist has had a hard time dealing with the invasion of privacy.

A source explained that Valderrama has been someone that Lovato has leaned on during this hard time.

The insider revealed, "Wilmer is her rock and he is talking her through this unfortunate experience and making her feel more comfortable with how things should be handled."

The source continued, "He is calming her and making it not get to her as much as it should. That is why she loves him, he gets her."
