Despite constant rumors that Naya Rivera had been fired from "Glee" season 5, Fox finally decided to speak out about the negative reports surrounding the actress. Apparently the network is suggesting that you shouldn't believe everything you read.
According to E! News, in a statement released on Saturday Fox revealed, "There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show," adding, "She remains under contract to Glee."
Rivera currently plays Santana Lopez on the hit musical series.
However, last week many thought Rivera was unemployed as it was alleged that Big Sean's ex-fiancé was written out of the "Glee" season 5 finale.
The news came on the heels of rumors that the 27-year-old had been fighting with her costar Lea Michele and was given the boot.
However, insiders insisted that the change to the finale had nothing to do with Michele. A source revealed, "[Naya] isn't fired and her not being in the finale has nothing to do with Lea," adding, "I don't know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true."
Naya Rivera's rep also released a statement early on denying that the actress was relieved of her duties on the Fox show were false.
The rep explained, "Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story."
Rivera's rep went on to issue another statement that explained, "The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false. If the 'news' outlets who put out this story had bothered to contact anyone from her team, they would have learned this was false."
The rep went on to say, "To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from Glee or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false."
Also adding, "Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya's good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not.
"Naya's attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights."
However, the news didn't seem to bother the actress as she enjoyed a weekend in the sun while sharing plenty of bikini photos that included butt shots.
