Cara Delevingne has taken the modeling industry by storm, and is set to make her small screen debut. It turns out the Victoria's Secret angel has struggled to break into acting, which lowered her self-confidence!

"I started auditioning for movies before I started modelling but I couldn't deal with the rejection. When I got turned down for something it would take me weeks to get over it," she told Metro.

The blonde, who is dating actress Michelle Rodriguez, will star in Sky TV's short film "Timeless." Delevingne plays a woman whose fiancé is a soldier in Iraq. She becomes closer to her great-grandmother, played by Sylvia Sims.

"It's a really touching story and I'm really honoured to be working with Sylvia in a one-off production for Playhouse Presents," the model turned actress told Vogue UK. "This will be my first time working in television drama and I am excited by the opportunity."

"Timeless" airs June 19 and also stars Matthew Perry, Ben Whishaw and Simon Callow. Based on newly released stills, it appears Delevingne's emotional role will be vital to the flick.

She previously starred in motion picture "Anna Karenina" in 2012 and is set to return to the big screen. Later this year we will see the star in "The Face of an Angel," based on the Amanda Knox trial. Co-stars include Amber Heard, Johnny Depp and Billy Bob Thornton.

Delevingne was recently seen on April 24 in Shanghai, walking the catwalk for Burberry alongside Suki Waterhouse. A teaser was released featuring the two in matching Burberry trench coats and Delevingne trotting with a Burberry umbrella.

We also know that she can sing, and has harmonized with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. Is there anything this girl can't do?
