So there's no denying the beauty that is Lupita, but the young Hollywood stunner recently revealed that this was all news to her until the age of 16.

Voted this year's Most Beautiful by People Magazine, the talented actress graces the cover and gets candid in an interview all about what it means to be beautiful and how she realized her own unique beauty as a teenager.

We all remember the poignant speech Lupita gave earlier this year where she talked about the importance of self-esteem and self-love. The actress revealed her past and painful struggle to love her skin tone and believe she was pretty.

Now in her interview with People, Lupita identifies the moment when she knew she too was beautiful. "I knew I was beautiful when I was sixteen and a friend of mine walked up to me with a friend of hers, who was a photographer and he was marveled by me," she revealed. And now the Oscar winner has us all marveling!

The past awards season was like Lupita's coming out party. Every red carpet she walked was a fashion, hair, and makeup hit. From the Golden Globes to the Oscars, Lupita was simply perfection.

On a lighter note, Lupita also admits in the interview to experimenting with her look, trying all different kinds of hair colors. The star even opted to go bald at one point. "It was very strange and very cold!" she chuckled. "It was scary but I like to dare myself."

And with so many accolades being bestowed upon her, Lupita shared that what really flatters her the most is "when I have been called beautiful with not one drop of makeup on."

Another favorite time for the star to be complimented she shared is, "before I comb my hair or put on a pretty dress. Happiness is the most important thing."
