Danny Boyle is allegedly stepping in to direct the upcoming biopic, with "Wolf of Wall Street" star Leonardo DiCaprio as choice to play Apple founder Steve Jobs.

The newest movie, based on the best-selling novel "Jobs" by Walter Isaacson, was written by Aaron Sorkin and produced by Scott Rudin.

"Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher recently portrayed Steve Jobs in the 2013 film "Jobs."

The Hollywood Reporter states that Boyle is in talks with Sony to replace original director David Fincher, who worked with Sorkin and Rudin on "The Social Network," which grossed $225 million in 2010.

There were alleged issues with compensation and control regarding the highly anticipated film; Fincher is said to have demanded $10 million in advance and control over the project's marketing.

DiCaprio worked with Boyle on the 2000 production of "The Beach."

Fincher's first choice for the role was "American Hustle" star Christian Bale, but he was not officially signed to portray the technology honcho.

According to Channel 24, it seems there could be conflict with DiCaprio, who has already committed to "The Revenant for New Regency," an Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu thriller. Production begins in September.

The "Titanic" star's most recent work includes Oscar-nomiated blockbusters "Wolf of Wall Street" and "The Great Gatsby." He was snubbed of a win yet again at the ceremony, losing to "Dallas Buyers Club" star Matthew McConaughey.

The blonde heartthrob has been dating model Toni Garrn for the past 11 months, and has been previously linked to Gisele Bundchen and Bar Rafaeli. He also had a brief fling with "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively in 2011.

DiCaprio and Garrn were recently spotted in Bora Bora showing serious PDA.
