It looks like Colin Kaepernick is slamming claims that he is a suspect in a sexual assault case.

According to TMZ, after they published a report claiming that the San Francisco 49ers quarterback was involved in drugging a young woman, the athlete took to his Twitter account to address the story.

Teyana Taylor's rumored boyfriend tweeted, "The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened."

He went on to write, "I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up."

However, the celebrity site noted that Kaepernick was not specific about what portion of the story that he considered "wrong."

TMZ reported that a law enforcement source at the Miami PD revealed that Colin Kaepernick is currently a suspect in a sexual assault case adding that the he is a suspect in an investigation that is "sexual in nature." The Miami PD also told USA Today the same thing but later said it was for a "suspicious incident."

The athlete went on to write, "I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced."

Reps for Kaepernick have not responded to TMZ following numerous calls made both before and after the story was posted.

The victim in the investigation claims that she was naked in a bed with the football player after having drinks and smoking marijuana.

From what she remembers the two did not have sex, he left the room and two other men peaked inside. After telling the men to get out she blacked out and woke in a hospital.

The case is being investigated by the Special Victim's Unit in which one of the many duties consists of handling sex crimes.
