If you know anything about sports you would know that on Wednesday night ESPN aired the 2013 ESPY Awards and the night was all about big wins, you know exactly who we are talking about, that's right Lebron James.

Fresh off his NBA championship win the all-star basketball player took home three awards including, male athlete of the year for helping the Miami Heat win a second straight NBA championship, according to CBS News.

James also won for Best Championship Performance and Best NBA Player completing a sweep of the three awards that he also won last year. The star shared the best team award with the rest of the Miami Heat. Teammate Ray Allen said, "We went through so much adversity."

He went on to say, "We did everything we could to fight, scratch and claw to put ourselves in that moment."

CBS reported that Lebron James also beat the talented Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps for male athlete honors. The humbled star told his fellow competitors, "This is for all four of us, man, but I'm just keeping it at my house."

Although they were not victorious in the male honors category both Peterson and Phelps won two awards each. Peterson won trophies for NFL player and best comeback while Phleps won best male Olympian and best record breaking performance.

Serena Williams won two awards, which included female athlete of the year and female tennis player, giving her eight career ESPYs, according to CBS News.

Miguel Cabrera won as best MLB player While Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers won as breakthrough athlete.

Other award highlights included the award for the best game which went to Game 6 of the NBA finals between the Heat and San Antonio Spurs, the best moment award which was won by 7-year-old Jack Hoffman's 69-yard touchdown run at Nebraska's spring game in April.

According to Hollywood Life, some of the best red carpet moments of the show came from various stars starting with Gabrielle Union who attended the event with her boyfriend, Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade who wore an embellished black suit.

The actress wore a sexy black leather minidress with a plunging neckline that complimented her toned body.

Bode Miller and Morgan Beck wore matching black outfits, however, Beck opted to show some side boob as her dress had sheers sides meanwhile Selena Gomez wore a stunning red mini dress covered in beads she completed the look with red  lips and sexy black pumps.

Katherine Webb opted to go with a summer trend and wear white, the beauty wore a strapless mini-dress, embroidered with blue metallic pieces that just captured the crowd.
