It looks like Zac Efron may be truly slipping back into using drugs once again. His inner circle is so concerned about him that even ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens is willing to step in if that means keeping her former boyfriend alive.
According to Hollywood Life, following their 2010 break up the "High School Musical" stars have gone their separate ways however, the brunette beauty is more than willing to participate in an intervention for the "Neighbors" actor.
A source revealed, "Vanessa feels bad about Zac's troubles but they have definitely moved very far a part from when they were a couple."
The actress has been in a long term relationship with boyfriend Austin Butler while Efron has been linked to Hollywood starlets like Lily Collins and "Hairspray" costar Brittany Snow.
The insider confessed, "They have rarely if at all talked with each other since their breakup.
"She doesn't really want to get into it and is not really reaching out because she knows he won't listen to her."
Despite growing apart the source admitted that "She would be willing to talk to him if there was ever an intervention."
Zac Efron's friends are worried that he is back on drugs following his recent scuffle on Skid Row.
Apparently none of the 26-year-old's friends believe that the actor drove to that part of town in the middle of the night just to get sushi as the actor initially told police.
His pals are worried that he is falling back into some old habits again and fear he will become the next Cory Monteith.
A friend of Efron's said, "Zac's a loner. He goes out rarely and the idea of him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous."
