Word around town is that Selena Gomez and good friend Taylor Swift are in a feud after the pair reportedly didn't speak to each other at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on March 2nd.

Many were curious as to why the two friends were in a fight but an insider was quick to reveal the truth behind their alleged disagreement.

According to Hollywood Life, Gomez seemed to be having a great time with "Spring Breakers" costar
Vanessa Hudgens at the Bash and even posted a picture of the two on her Instagram account however, there were no photos with the "22" singer.

Despite the lack of visual evidence a source said "they are totally cool with each other, no feud." Apparently the "Slow Down" singer and the "Red" artist already spend a lot of time hanging out together, so they enjoyed doing their own thing when they attend parties.

An insider explained, "They did interact briefly with pleasantries, but were also separate for most of the night while they were there. There are so many celebrities there, and things happening, that they both were too busy with their own night."

The source continued, "They didn't really connect because they were hanging out in their own worlds."

Gomez who secretly went to rehab and is rumored to have Lupus enjoyed her night out. The source explained, "When you mingle at that party, it's hard to bounce around and get involved in other conversations with people you usually hang out with."

The insider added, "The Vanity Fair party is all about business and talking to people you usually don't have the chance to mingle with. Selena and Taylor are totally cool with each other, no feud."

While she may be on good terms with country cutie Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez is still battling demons with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber who is trying to come back into her life.

On March 3rd, the Biebs tweeted a photo of the "Come & Get It" singer looking gorgeous at an Academy Awards after-party. Attached to the picture was the caption, "Most elegant princess in the world."
