It looks like there may be some complications following Mark-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy's engagement.
According to Us Weekly, before saying yes to her boyfriend The Row designer turned her man down during his first proposed months ago.
A source told the publication, "He tried about a year ago, and she wasn't ready," adding, "She didn't need to be wined and dined. She wanted to make sure he would be good to her."
Olsen, 27, and the French banker, 44, first went public with their romance in 2012, and are said to be "talking about trying to get pregnant."
An insider revealed that, "Mary-Kate's family thinks Olivier is the best thing to happen to her," adding, "They love him."
As far as wedding plans go the couple seems to be on different pages. According to E! News, the former "Full House" star wants to "marry and settle down as quickly as possible," while Sarkozy wants a "nice long engagement."
A source from the banker's home city of Paris told celebrity news site, "If they are engaged, they haven't announced it to family and friends in France yet, but who knows."
The insider continued, "All we know is that Olivier will want a nice long engagement-he's been through a marriage already and had lovely kids, so he knows what it's all about."
While this will be the first marriage for Mary-Kate Olsen, Olivier Sarkozy was previously married to ex -wife Charlotte Bernard before splitting in 2010 after 13 years of marriage.
The former couple share two children together, son Julien, 12, and daughter Margot, 10.
As for his new life with the young fashion designer it looks like the French man may be staying in America.
A source said, "They haven't been in Paris for a while," adding, "It looks like the ring is an American one, which would make sense as Mary-Kate always seems a lot happier in the states."
