15 year-old EDM phenom and YouTube "It Girl," Katia Nicole is steaming up the charts with the hotly-anticipated DJ Escape remix and new music video for her hit single, "The Girl Can't Help It." Katia has already been crowned the next big thing in dance music. We were lucky enough to sit down with the budding star, who is also a beauty guru in her own right. Check out what hair and makeup tips Nicole swears by on and off stage:

So Katia, how do you balance your love of hair and makeup with your love of music?

I try to incorporate my love for makeup and beauty in my music by learning all the new trends and keeping up with all the amazing beauty gurus on YouTube. In my down time, after working on my schooling, I always have days where I know that one of my favorite gurus is posting new videos, so I go and check them out for inspiration and try to recreate some of their looks.

What are your favorite go-to products when you're getting ready to perform on stage?

My favorite go to brand for the stage and music videos is NYX Cosmetics. They have amazing color palettes and are always coming up with innovative products. I find that they have the most popular trends and colors for the season. Their prices are also amazing for the quality of their makeup.

What's your everyday beauty routine consist of off stage?

My everyday routine consists of making sure I cleanse, moisturize, and tone my face-- along with applying primer, concealer, foundation, powder, blush, mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss or lipstick.

Where do you draw your hair and makeup inspiration from?

I draw my inspiration from top makeup artists who work with the major celebs here in Hollywood. I also watch the trendy hairstyles of my favorite performers like Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, and Jennifer Lopez. My favorite decades are the 50's and the 80's. I try to fuse them together to come up with my own version and style for a look that is timeless, yet totally fashion forward.

What's the biggest beauty challenge as an artist?

For me it's constantly coming up with new looks for my performances to try and give myself a signature look that will keep my fans wanting to see more, and hopefully inspiring them to want to have the same look.

What's your favorite feature to play up?

I love this question! My favorite feature to play up are my cheekbones! I love the art of contouring. I have a full, round face and giving my cheekbones depth I feel really helps to give me a more narrow and bolder look.

Ever have a beauty blunder on stage?

Yes, I once had a mohawk with curls and as I was dancing, the pins started to fall out. So I now incorporate choreography that will allow me to twirl and whip my hair back and forth!

What advice/rules do you have for young women looking to explore the world of makeup?

Definitely check out all different brands of make up and see which ones work for you. Believe it or not I have found some awesome products in my local drugstore, aside from using some of my more favorite luxury brands. Look up your favorite companies and beauty gurus on social media and learn different styles of applications and routines until you can find one that suits you.

Any new beauty tutorials coming up?

I am thinking about doing a daily makeup routine, an ombre lip tutorial, and I'm trying to learn different ways to do different kinds of liquid eyeliner so I can teach my viewers that as well. I also do special effects tutorials, and I'm hoping to do a full body replica of the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland.

Cool! Thanks Katia! Look out for this EDM sensation's beauty tutorials on YouTube and check out her popular music video below!
