Demi Lovato seems to be in such a positive place in her life. The "Heart Attack" singer is sober and madly in love with rumored to be engaged boyfriend Wilmer Valdarrama. In her bliss the songstress decided not to even let the negative words from former beau Joe Jonas bring her down.
According to E! News, one week before she embarks on her "Neon Lights" tour with Fifth Harmony and Little Mix, Selena Gomez's best friend opened up about her personal struggles in her twenty one years.
In a new interview which is a special series on E! titled, "Beyond Candid with Giuliana," Demi Lovato explained how she got through her dark times.
She admitted, "I don't think anybody can save your life except for yourself," adding, "That was a key element in realizing I had to change."
She revealed that such a change involved self-acceptance and being able to honesty share her experiences. Demi Lovato said, "I don't place any of the blame on anybody else except for really myself for not being so honest."
Joe Jonas should take a page out of the "Skyscraper" artist's self help handbook. The Jonas Brother famously blamed former Disney stars Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus for making him try marijuana in the December 2013 issue of New York Magazine.
The former "X-Factor" judge revealed that Jonas gave her a heads up about the essay. She explained, "He had warned me a couple of days before," adding, "I don't even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin'."
However, Lovato revealed there are no hard feelings between the two insisting that they will always be friends.
She said, "I called him and I was like, 'Relax. We're good. Just don't be so stupid next time,'" adding, "I love you, it's all good. We're always going to be friends."
