It looks like Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas aka the Jonas Brothers have decided to break up their band. The pop stars made an official announcement on Tuesday, October 29th.

According to E! News, in less than three weeks after the group decided to cancel their fall tour due to "a deep rift within the band," that they decided to disband as musical partners.

According to the celebrity news site, Kevin Jonas said, "It's over for now." Kevin is the oldest of the brothers who is expecting his first child with his wife, Danielle Jonas.

Drummer and vocalist of the boy band Nick Jonas, 21, said, "It's really hard to say 'forever,'" he added, "We're closing a chapter, for sure." Prior to the break up announcement the singer tweeted his more than 7.5 million followers, "Bear with us."

Rumors that the Jonas Brothers plan to break up began to swirl on October 3rd when Nick decided to voice some concerns about the band's future. He told PEOPLE magazine, "I was feeling kind of trapped."

He went on to say, "I needed to share my heart with my brothers."

However, according to his older brother Joe Jonas, Nick merely voiced what they all were feeling.

"It was a unanimous decision," the 24-year-old solo singer who is currently dating Blanda Eggenschwiler explained.

The Jonas Brothers were signed to Hollywood Records in 2005 where they sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.

They went on to star in two "Camp Rock" films and headlined their own Disney Channel series.

In 2009, Nick Jonas made the decision to take a break from the group to form his own blues rock band, called Nick Jonas and the Administration, he later reunited with his brothers only to permanently split from the band later on.
