Did Jennifer Lawrence secretly get engaged to her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult over the holidays? Well a new report is alleging that the couple's kiss at the Golden Globes was just practice for their walk down the aisle.

According to Hollywood Life, a source told OK! Magazine, "Jennifer is walking on air," adding, "She's madly in love with Nicholas and is the happiest she's ever been. Jen likes to live a relatively modest private life. She knows news of the engagement will make that harder if not impossible. And she is obsessed with her privacy."

The report alleges that during the holidays the "American Hustle" actress took her boyfriend home to Lexington, Kentucky where he proposed to her.

The insider explained, "Jennifer is extremely close to her family, " adding, "When she isn't filming or promoting her movies, she spends a lot of time at her parents' house."

According to the source, "All the family had gathered in the living room, enjoying the night before Christmas when Nick asked for everyone's attention and began giving a speech to Jennifer."

The insider continued, "He stood up and took her hand, helping her to stand up as well. When she was on her feet, he knelt down and pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked her to marry him." As a result Jennifer Lawrence cried and screamed out yes.

Following their Christmas engagement Nicholas Hoult took his girlfriend back to his home in England and the pair was spotted together by fans on December 28th.

As much as we would like to see the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" couple get married, a reliable source quickly revealed that the magazine's story was "totally fabricated."
