It has been a big year for actress Jennifer Lawrence so there was no surprise when she was featured on Barbara Walters' "Most Fascinating People" special. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" star is still adjusting to life in the spotlight and has had some pretty awkward moments both on and on camera.
According to Hollywood Life, the actress told the journalist that she surprises herself sometimes. She explained, "I don't know what's going to fly out my mouth."
However, despite the random things she says she insisted that she is most uncomfortable with the stares she receives since winning her Academy Award.
She said, "The main thing is the way people look at you and talk to you, because you don't feel any different," adding, "A light never went off, like 'Ok, I'm a new me.' So it's hard when people treat you differently, I mean you don't feel any differently. It's alienating."
Jennifer Lawrence agreed that she has been treated nicely but fame does have its flaws. She admitted, "Yeah, but I don't know. You feel like a zoo animal, or something. I don't know what it is. It's something in somebody's eyes.
"It's like not connecting, not making eye contact sometimes," adding, "And now I'm surrounded by people all the time, and I can be so lonely when everyone goes. But I have to remind myself it's just being alone, it's not lonely."
An awkward encounter with her maid reminded the starlet that she is not always alone. Lawrence who is in a relationship with boyfriend Nicholas Hoult has a few sex toys around the house thanks to a couple of friends.
However, the actress explained to talk show host Conan that the fun gesture by friends made things uncomfortable with her cleaning lady.
According to E! News, she confessed, "This is actually really funny. Somebody as a joke bought me a bunch of butt plugs. It's a long story."
She continued her story, "I had a copious amount of butt plugs. Tons of butt plugs. All different kinds of colors and the maid was coming so I was like, 'well I'll just shove this under the bed so she doesn't see all these butt plugs.' She might not know they are for a joke."
The blonde actress with her growing pixie haircut went on to say, "Then I came back and all of them were brought out of the bed and were in this beautiful display on my bedside table," adding, "I think she knew what she was doing.
"They were under the bed. I wanted to leave a note like, 'not mine' or 'bought as joke.'"
