Lights, camera, action!  The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards presented thirteen awards for acting in film and television, but the pre-show red carpet glam stole the spotlight!  Jenny Balding, NYC Cutler/Redken Styling and Grooming Expert, shared her favorite SAG styles with us, as well as tips on how to recreate these looks for your own personal red carpet event! Check out the easy how-to steps below!

Amy Adams - Winner of the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion picture, the American Hustle star wowed with old Hollywood glam hair for this red carpet. "This stunning 2014 version of the faux bob is a slightly more structured version of the usual soft textured faux bob," Balding said. "This is a fantastic style to change your longer straight, wavy or curly hair into a glamorous, shorter look for the evening. Perfect for an instaglam look!"

Get the Look:  Want this stunning style? Balding instructs you to first blow dry hair very smooth with a round brush. Use a large curling iron to create an 'S' shaped wave throughout the front hairline and through the mid length to the ends. Then brush through to create a luxurious feel. Instead of pinning hair under, roll hair up and pin lightly at the nape and sides and Amy Adams' tresses are yours!

Jennifer Lawrence - Winner of the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, Jennifer wowed yet again at the SAGs. "It's refreshing to see shorter hair on the red carpet this season and Jennifer Lawrence has the perfect 'grown out pixie' look," Jenny gushed. "This haircut can be styled many ways but perfectly disheveled is the look when wearing such a structured beautiful gown as it compliments her look wonderfully."

Get the Look: Ready to go short? Jenny advises to make sure to keep layers slightly longer through the top area, but shaggy and textured to create an even flow throughout. Have hair trimmed close to the nape so the weight is taken away from the ear area, and style by using a light paste or styling wax.

Cate Blanchett - Winner of the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, Cate came ready with an award-winning 'do. "Her beautiful, low chignon, placed close to the nape, is the way to wear a chignon this season as it's so beautiful and understated," Jenny explained. "It's the perfect way to wear your hair off your neck in a effortless-looking way, very elegant and fantastic for for any kind of event."

Get the Look: Jenny recommends blow drying hair with natural volume for soft movement throughout. Then, simply sweep hair into the nape of the neck and place closely and pin to secure. Easy and done!
