So many stars have gotten a little scissor happy this past week! Click through the slideshow to see who's done the big chop!

So what's the real source behind this trimming trend? Turns out each star was inspired to part with her locks for different reasons.

Jennifer Aniston first told Vogue she was just ready for a change, but has since revealed the real reason behind her new 'do. The 44-year old actress told Elle UK that a bad Brazilian Blowout Treatment caused her to chop her damaged tresses. "It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase," Aniston explained. "I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it."

Aniston might have had to cut her hair out of necessity, but her famous crown still looks great! Making headlines of its own ever since the star's days on the hit TV show 'Friends,' we wonder if this bob could be the new 'Rachel' haircut? Only time will tell.

Jennifer isn't the only Jenn who went short this month. Academy award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and star of the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire film debuted a super short blonde pixie as well. Aside from their names, both Jenns opted for cuts to help hair get healthier. Lawrence explained her pixie to fans at a recent movie promotion event, describing her shoulder length hair as "fried from being dyed so much."

Unlike her fellow celebs, howeber, blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson chose to chop for a new, fun start. During her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, she talked about the need for a new change. "I just thought, you know, my hair had had a life. And I wanted to kind of put that behind me and start fresh," Anderson said. "And I thought it'd be good for the marathon. And it was." Pamela recently ran her first New York City Marathon, completing the over twenty-mile track through the city in 5 hours!

And not to be left out, actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth has made the cut too, egged on by none other than her movie co-star, J Lo. "I'm working on a movie with Jennifer Lopez and we talked about my look for the film and I thought it might be a good change, as well, for my life. I just went for it!" Like Pamela, Kristin was over her long-hair-don't-care days. "I've been a slave for that long hair for so long. Now I just wake up and go like that," she said.

Whether cut to prevent damage or on a dare, these red carpet ladies are stunning, and that's the long and short of it. Pun intended! Which cut is your fave? Let us know with a note below!
