This week, there are a few products that I have used for the last several months. One of my picks has been out on the market for a while, but my motto is that oldies are goodies. A lot of great gems are already in my collection, but there's nothing wrong with changing things up every now and again. Click through the slideshow to see my trio of items!
I am back to using Neutrogena's Deep Clean Facial Cleanser, a $6 formula for removing dead cells from the skin's surface. This product, containing water and salicylic acid, deep cleans and removes my makeup. I like to wash my face at least twice a day, working the formula into lather before massaging into my face for about a minute or so. Then, my face is rinsed thoroughly to make sure all the traces of cleanser are gone. The Clarisonic Skin Care Brush is a great tool to use in order to make sure this formula gets all the dirt, too.
When it comes to my lips, there are many products that I use, including Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Longwear Colors. The formulas, priced at $34, promise to dress my lips "with attitude." The lipsticks sure do make my pout pop, and I love them! I wear the deep-red hue called Palpitant and the light orange dubbed Excentrique. The shades are very on-trend and rich, with a satin finish that makes my lips look shiny, especially when heading out on the town. And my pucker stays supple and nourished.
Since I love to paint rich polishes on my nails, the Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colors have made it into my beauty bag, too. The $27 formaldehyde, toluene and DBP-free lacquers are highly pigmented, with a variety of colors that make a good impression on me. If I had to pick my favorites, the crimson-red shade Pirate and light-colored hue Beige fit the bill. The exclusive formula not only delivers shine, but it applies evenly without streaking. You got to love that!
