Lauren Conrad opened up about her wedding to fiance, William Tell to Cosmopolitan recently. The "Infamous" author and "The Hills" alum talked about her surprise proposal.

According to US Weekly, the 27-year-old has never stepped out of the reality TV spotlight despite both her MTV shows calling it quits.

Viewers watched Conrad's love life and friendships unfold on both "Laguna Beach," and then "The Hills" from 2004 to 2009. Though she left the TV world behind and retreated from the public eye, her personal life has still been interesting to her fans.

Posing on the cover for the January 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan, the former reality TV star dished on her romance with new fiance, Tell.

The USC law student and former Something Corporate guitarist proposed to Conrad in October, reported US.

"I had no idea it was coming," admitted Conrad to Cosmo. "I thought he would wait until he finished law school. He didn't even ask my friends [about the ring], which was a bold move. He said, 'I know you, and I know what you like.' And I love it. It's perfect."

But after dating Stephen Colletti and Brody Jenner, the author and fashion designer seems to have found the right guy.

"William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy," continued Conrad, "and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream. If you're going to settle down, it should be with someone you can't stop thinking about. Especially if you're in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!"

And Conrad even offered advice to those waiting to walk down the aisle.

"You have the rest of your life to be married," said the former MTV star. "Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about the wedding than the marriage. You should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy."

The businesswoman poses in floral bra crop top and matching skirt on the cover. Inside the magazine, she also dished about "getting rid of haters."
