Johnny Depp has been making headlines lately and surprisingly enough the latest news has nothing to do with his young girlfriend Amber Heard. The newly blonde actor was spotted having quite a wild time with his lighter locks.

According to E! News, on Wednesday "The Lone Ranger" star was spotted on the London set off his latest film "Mortdecai" when he was hit by a car.

Johnny Depp was walking down an East End street and suddenly the 50-year-old Hollywood veteran was struck by a vintage Rolls Royce and bounced off the hood of the vehicle.

The car was speeding down a cobblestone street and intentionally struck the actor.

However, fans shouldn't worry too much, the dramatic accident was all staged for a scene in the action-comedy, "Mortdecai."

Of course seeing as Johnny Depp did do his own stunt he may have sustained some bumps and bruises but there have been no reports as of yet.

"Mortdecai" also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn and Ewan McGregor.

The movie will follow the journey of Depp's character, an art dealer named Charles Mortdecai, who searches for a stolen painting that is said to contain a secret code that can access hidden Nazi treasure.

The film will serve as the first entry in what is hoped to be a series of movies based on "The Mortdecai Trilogy" written by author Kyril Bonfiglioli's.

"Mortdecai" is expected to debut in theaters later next year.
