According to E! Online, the "Neighbors" star had an accidential fall outside his Los Angeles home, and had to have his jaw wired shut because of it.

Efron didn't see the water puddle while before injuring himself. Reportedly, he also suffered a serious gash, which required stitches and a hospital visit.

But the "Parkland" star is expected to make a full recovery, reported E! News.

As he heals from his injuries, a promotional tour for his new "That Awkward Moment" comedy has been put on hold indefinitely. His movie, also starring Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller, follows a group of guys who make a pact to stay single. The film will hit theaters in January.

In the meantime, fans can see Efron on the big screen in "Neighbors," a raunchy comedy that plays like an "Animal House" flick, reported E! This film, where Efron stars opposite Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, will arrive later on this year.

Though Efron will be missing in action from red carpet events for a while due to his major injury, the star had been out and about in recent months. After a stint in rehab, the actor had been busy making tons of Hollywood appearances.

Just last week, cameras caught Efron supporting his friend and co-star, Jordan at a Vanity Fair event.

The star also celebrated his 26th birthday in October, playing golf with his father, David and friends at the Callaway Golf Center in Carlsbad, Calif., reported E! He then hit up popular Hollywood hotspot, Chateau Marmont to have fun with his younger brother, Dylan.
