It looks like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa Middleton is quite the generous aunt.

The Vanity Fair columnist brought her nephew royal baby Prince George an expensive gift for his christening. The present to one of the heirs to the thrown reportedly ran Kate Middleton's sibling $11,000.

According to Hollywood Life, the unconventional trinket that Pippa Middleton chose for Prince George at his christening on October 23rd was a sparkling silver present that served as a commemorative keepsake for both George and his parents Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Nico Jackson's creative girlfriend reportedly gifted her nephew and his parents with silver casts of the baby's hands and feet.

The Daily Mail reported that in order to make the casts, Prince George would have had to keep his hands and feet still for about 30 seconds in a jelly-like fluid made of water and a seaweed-based powder.

Which we would think would be quite a challenge seeing as he is simply 3-months old and constantly wiggles as he takes in the environment around him.

According to the celebrity gossip site, a small British company, Wrightson and Platt, reportedly manufactured the casts.

PEOPLE magazine reported, "The sculptures can be made in colored glass, lead crystal, bronze or silver (which is the traditional christening metal)."

"The price varies depending on the material chosen and the size of the child, but Middleton has reportedly spent about $11,000 on her gift."
