It looks like Nina Dobrev's best friend Julianne Hough offended a lot of people over the weekend when the "Dancing with the Stars" alumni dressed in blackface for a Halloween party in Beverly Hills, California.
According to Us Weekly, Hough was spotted out on Friday, October 25th dressed as the character Crazy Eyes, played by Uzo Aduba ) from the new Netflix hit series, "Orange Is the New Black."
The "Safe Haven" actress put a lot of effort into her costume donning orange prison attire, styking her hair in a similar knotted hairdo like the character and even wearing an I.D. with the name "Crazy Eyes" on it.
Julianne Hough walked with six other female friends who also dressed up as various characters from the prison series as well.
The actress seemed oblivious to the wave of negative responses she would soon receive following her costume choice.
After her fun night out the actress must have caught wind of the backlash due to her outfit and quickly took to her Twitter to respond to hurt individuals.
She wrote, "I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize."

While at the party Julianne Hough ran into her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest and the two chatted it up for a bit.
A source told the magazine, "They were laughing and catching up and seemed cordial." The former couple split back in March after dating for more than two years.
The "Footloose" star's bad choice comes as she is in the middle of production on her latest movie "Curve."
The Netflix series "Orange is the New Black" is currently filming its second season which is set to premiere in 2014.
