Nina Dobrev recently said that following her break up with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder she was "in no rush" to move on but it seems like her good friend Julianne Hough is ready for "The Vampire Diaries" star to strike up a romance.

Dobrev recently said that she and Hough were "joined at the hip" and it seems like Ryan Seacrest's ex-girlfriend wants to make the actress a part of the family by hooking her up with her brother Derek.

The "Let's be Cops" actress who split from Somerhalder back in May has been leaning on friends and family to help her get over her heartbreak. Although she said that she is focusing on herself it seems like her pal insists on playing matchmaker.

Dobrev recently said, "I've been a relationship girl and I've been in long-term relationships my whole life until this point, so I think I'm looking forward to spending some time with myself and finding myself again."

She went on to say, "I'm just discovering different sides of me and growing and then I'll figure out what I like in a man when I see it."

However, according to Star Magazine, Julianne Hough is "very protective" of Dobrev, and "doesn't want to see her with a loser."

The "Footloose" actress is also said to be "superpicky" about who her brother dates so she decided to hook up the closest people in her life.

A source told the tabloid that, "Nina and Derek seemed really into each other."

However, Gossip Cop said that a rep for "The Vampire Diaries" said the story was "not true" and that Nina Dobrev and Derek Hough are "just friends."
