"Scandal" Season 3 episode 2 "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" is set to air in less than 12 hours and we have some juicy spoilers before the release.
Now lets just say we had a suspenseful season three premiere that left us wanting more answers and now cast member Tony Goldwyn (President Fitz) gave fans even more to look forward to.
In the end of episode 1 we see that Cyrus learns about Operation Remington, which means we will learn about it as well. Olivia's father, Rowan decided to show Cyrus the truth, because apparently all he knows is a version of it that's consists of Fitz and Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) carrying out a top secret battle.
According to Wetpaint, the only thing we really know about the mission was that Fitz's plane was struck down behind enemy lines in the 1991 battle in Iran, and that he served with Captain Jake Ballard at the time.
However, in a new interview with TV Guide, Tony Goldwyn explained that while Operation Remington is still a mystery to viewers, we will be learning more about it throughout season 3.
He said, "So far, it becomes very, very messy, complicated and rough," when speaking of what is revealed by Olivia's father to Cyrus in the first episode.
"We're still early on, but that's a big one," he teased.
Goldwyn explained that even though there is typically only a handful of people who have been involved in on any cover-up, it's about to get a whole lot bigger.
Tony said, "[O]ne of these unified things that brings multiple threads of the characters and stories together in ways that I don't even understand yet.
"It's obviously Jake and Fitz and presumably Rowan, Olivia's dad, but we don't know how. It's a big threat. It gets really interesting."
