Dove kicked off their Fourth Annual Dove Self-Esteem Weekend, a national effort to help girls develop a positive relationship with beauty, on Friday.

Katie Couric and Dove Global Self-Esteem Ambassador, Jess Weiner, lead the self-esteem workshop with Girls Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Girl Scouts of the USA. The participants began the weekend on NYC's Empire State Building rooftop, lighting a spire in honor of the thousands of women everywhere who encourage young girls to love themselves.

As the rest of the weekend continues, workshop leaders will introduce new self-esteem education tools to girls during workshops. Kid chef and award-winning cookbook author Eliana will make meals for the participants. And DJ Diamond Kuts, the first and only female DJ to have a slot on Philadelphia radio, alongside her aspiring 11-year-old mentee, DJ Jai, will provide entertainment.

And throughout the three days, mentors will encourage girls to never stop doing what they love and to feel unstoppable.

"It is our shared responsibility to motivate girls and show them that they do not have to let anxiety about their looks hold them back," said Katie Couric. "The fourth annual Dove Self-Esteem Weekend marks a pivotal moment for all of us to commit to helping girls develop the confidence they need to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams."

Dove is drawing support from numerous places such as Walmart, who will also host in-store self-esteem activities. The famous chain of stores will offer an exclusive first-ever limited edition Dove "Confidence is Beautiful" product collection. The collection includes a Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash, White Beauty Bar, Cool Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner and Go Sleeveless Nourished Beauty Deodorant.

The purchase of all Dove products supports self-esteem programming by national non-profit partner organizations, Girls Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs, and Girls Inc.
