Two familiar faces that gathered to mourn the death of Kabbalah Chief Rabbi Philip Berg were Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. The "That 70's Show" couple joined a crowd of thousands to pay their respects at his funeral.
The Hollywood duo wore all white as they attended Berg's burial in Safed, Israel, where the religious leader was buried in a giant mausoleum on Wednesday, according to Us Weekly.
Attendees told the magazine that Kunis, 30, and Kutcher, 35, took part in the moment of silence before joining the crowd in a rendition of "Ani Ma'amin" (a Hebrew expression said in the coming of the Messiah).
However, following the rendition, Kutcher looked noticeably moved. The eyewitness revealed, "Ashton was emotionally invested."
The source said, "When the chant died down, he started reciting passages under his breath for about 10 minutes."All the while his girlfriend, Kunis kept her arm around him.
An insider told Us that during the burial the pair remained close to the front of the crowd, which was specifically reserved for Berg's close family members.
The source added, "They were standing amongst the prolific members. Ashton spoke briefly to [the Chief Rabbi's wife] Karen Berg and her sons after the burial."
Berg founded the Los Angeles-based Kabbalah center back in 1993 after moving it from its original location in New York during 1960s.
Other famous Kabbalah followers include Madonna, Lindsay Lohan, and Kutcher's ex-wife, Demi Moore.
Following the service Kunis and Kutcher briefly spoke with a few friends separately then departed.
On Thursday, the couple was spotted looking casual yet somber holding hands while strolling the streets of New York City heading for a quiet lunch in SoHo.
