Before, he was her mystery man, but now, Dakota Fanning's boyfriend has been identified as 32-year-old British model Jamie Strachan. The "Very Good Girls" actress was spotted in New York City holding hands with her beau on Wednesday.

According to the Daily Mail, while enjoying a sunny day out, Fanning played hero to Strachan, who stepped into the street without checking for oncoming traffic. Realizing the danger, the 19-year-old quickly pulled her boyfriend out of harm's way.

However, the teen didn't seem too concerned with Strachan's near death experience as she laughed while holding tight to his hand and muscular arm.

Safe and alive, the couple continued their journey through the crowded NYC streets with their fingers interlocked.

The two dressed down during their outing, with Fanning opting to wear a black T-shirt, matching ballet pumps and a pair of blue boyfriend jeans held up by a Hermes belt.

Her beau wore a rolled up shirt, jeans, and worn black boots, before they headed back to Dakota's apartment to change for the U.S. Open tennis championships.

Dakota Fanning later emerged in a printed sleeveless blue shirt while Jamie Strachan rocked a grey sweater. The couple cozied up to each other throughout the event as the laughed and held hands.

Strachan previously dated Adam Levine's current fiancé, Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo. Meanwhile, last March, Fanning told Glamour magazine "I don't really date."

She explained, "I have a weird vision of relationships because my parents have known each other since second grade, and they got married right out of college."

"I've always thought that's what it's supposed to be like, and if it's not, then I don't want to waste my time on it."

The actress recently returned to the New York from Italy, where she attended the Venice Film Festival while promoting her movie "Night Moves."

Dakota Fanning and Jamie Strachan were first spotted together back in May and have been all smiles ever since.
