Justin Bieber is reportedly dating an ex-girlfriend. The Instagram video lover reunited with Jacque Pyles, and skipped the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 to see her and possibly avoid Selena Gomez.

According to Hollywood Life, Bieber, 19, and his ex had a hot date on the same night as the awards ceremony, where Gomez accepted the Best Pop Video moonman.

Their reunion has prompted rumors that that Bieber and Pyles are rekindling their young romance. The "Heartbreaker" singer, who dated Pyles briefly in 2009, was content with hanging out with her and skipping the show.

Bieber even tweeted his excitement over his plans.

"Great dinner," he posted on Sunday night. "Life is beautiful."

HL reported that perhaps Bieber went out with Pyles as a distraction from thinking about Gomez, who looked absolutely stunning at the VMAs. He could have been using Twitter to make the "Come and Get It" singer jealous.

And this is not the first time that Bieber posted a photo or message on the social network to get Gomez' attention.

Recently, the crooner was photographed kissing Ariana Grande after a concert performance. The viral photo upset Beliebers, who thought Biebs was dating Grande though the rumors were false.
