On the same day that Kate Middleton gave birth to the royal heir, Penelope Cruz welcomed a daughter with husband Javier Bardem on Monday, according to People.

"The Counselor" actress, 39, went into labor unnoticed as the world tuned into Middleton's royal delivery and gave birth to her second child in Madrid, Spain. Details on the birth including name and weight are slim at this time, reported People.

E! Online said that Bardem, 44, was by his wife's side during the delivery at Ruber Internacional Hospital.

But the new baby girl joins 2-year-old brother, Leonardo, completing the family of four.

A rep for Cruz confirmed her second pregnancy earlier this year after missing Spain's Goya Awards in February, "[Penelope] is tremendously happy and very excited."

Last April, the Oscar winner opened up about motherhood being the best role to US Magazine, "Maybe I'll make one movie a year, maybe two, but it's not going to be more than that because I have other priorities now."

She told US that her "ideal day" is "funning around with my family at the beach, that's all."

And she admitted to being "happier in her 30s than 20s" though she is a "worrier."

The actress said, "I am living for every day and trying to have less fear."

"But I have always worried about everything," she continued.

"It's in my nature. It's the thing that makes me suffer the most."
