Hollywood stars Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are expecting a new addition to the family as Cruz is pregnant with the couple's second child. The news was first reported in the New York Post but it quoted unidentified sources. Later a source confirmed the pregnancy to E!News.
The "Vicky Christina Barcelona" actress is said to be "around three months." The source also told E!News that Cruz is very happy not only because she is pregnant but her sister Monica too is expecting via an anonymous donor.
The couple already has a son, Leo, born in January 2011, six months after they got married in a low key private ceremony. Cruz and Bardem are said to have been close even before they started dating. They have known each other for about 20 years since they first met on the sets of Spanish comedy, "Jamon Jamon." Before the 43-year-old actor, Cruz has dated actors Matthew McConaughey and Tom Cruise.
The 38-year-old actress has spoken about her love for motherhood earlier and hence she must be thrilled about the new baby on the way. After the birth of Leo, Cruz spoke to Vogue about the baby and how her life has changed since.
"From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That's the best way I can describe it," the Spanish beauty said. "It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever."
The husband wife duo will be seen together in the upcoming film "The Counselor," which is scheduled to release in November 2013.
The actress must be flying high with the pregnancy as well as her collaboration with Latin Grammy Award-winner Miguel Bosé. The actress not only features in the Latin artist's music video but also shows off some singing skills.
