With Fergie's due date arriving soon, the singer is quickly preparing for her bundle of joy.

In fact, she, 38, and husband, Josh Duhamel, 40, are ready for the restless nights, according to Us Weekly. The "Safe Haven" actor, who recently revealed that "Transformers 4" will be without him, is also ready for dirty diaper duty and all the new exciting things that comes with parenthood.

"Everybody who's had a baby or knows somebody who's had a baby seems to have advice about something," he said to ET Canada. "'Oh, you better sleep now; you're not going to get any when the baby's here.' 'Oh, your life is over after that.' 'Oh, it's the most beautiful thing ever, but, oh, it's tough.'"

But, Duhamel is revved up for his new real-life role. "I feel like we're ready for it," he said. "I actually look forward to that."

The actor wants to spend as much time home with his first child as possible.

"I plan on taking [off] as much time as I can just before and as much time as possible after," he said. "I can't imagine having a kid and then not being able to be there. That would just drive me crazy. My head would be at home with mom and baby." And Duhamel wants the full-baby experience, bringing this family along whenever he works or shoots a film.

His wife gushed that her husband has been "amazing" and singing to her belly throughtout her pregnancy. "He's going to be an amazing father," she said.

Fergie admitted that her love has "natural parenting instincts" and "wanted to knock her up on their first date!"
