We all remember "Mean Girls," that little film that made women out of Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Though that feature about the evils of high school has gone down in movie history, it seems a new set of "mean" women are rising to the top. According to the Huffington Post, , it's time for some moms to reign.

New Line Cinema will release "Mean Moms," a film adaptation of Rosaline Wiseman's 2006 book about a mother who encounters a group of "grown-up mean girls in the form of suburban moms," reported Deadline. Beth McCarthy-Miller, of "Saturday Night Live," will direct the film based on Wiseman's book, "Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches and Counselors Who Can Make - or Break - Your Child's Future."

Wiseman's previous effort, "Queen Bees and Wannabes" inspired the crowd-pleasing hit film with Lohan in 2004.

The rumor is that the planned comedy, which "essentially takes the spirit of "Mean Girls" into bigger territory, will star some big female actresses. But no word on just who is up for any roles yet.

We do know the plot, which sounds like it could get interesting.

As it goes, "a happily married mother of two moves from small town America to the high-class suburbs and is faced with confronting the cutthroat world of competitive parenting." We will let you be the judge on that one.

Offspring Entertainment will produce the forthcoming film, with Sean Anders and John Morris, of the sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, as writers.
