Rachel McAdams' rejoins the world of time traveling in the forthcoming film, "About Time," opening nationwide on November 8.

Stepping from the shadows of "Notting Hill" and "Love Actually," the writer-turned-director Richard Hill tries his hand at the complicated love drama. But, the sci-fi film has a striking resemblance to another of the actress' earlier films, according to Entertainment Weekly.

'About Time' seems to mirror McAdams' 2009 "The Time Traveler's Wife." This film followed a Chicago librarian, played by Eric Bana, who possessed a gene which caused him to travel through time. His unique circumstance caused a slew of marital complications for him and McAdams' character.

Fast forward to now, Hill's dramatic undertaking has a similar storyline. Actor Domhnall Gleeson stars asTim, a young man who learns that his family has a very special ability -- time traveling. As Tim falls in love with Mary, played by McAdams, he begins to travel back in time to relive events of their relationship. Viewers will get to see everything from the first time they met to their first kiss, over and over again.

But that tickering of the past brings about some nasty side effects, which we can only guess will cause serious problems for the couple.
