Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore is one of the most fashionable, open-minded and sophisticated woman in the industry and she sure has her values firmly in place. After experiencing a whirlwind childhood, Barrymore is very clear that she doesn't want her daughter Olive to follow in her footsteps.

The 38-year-old, who faced the limelight as a child actress at a very young age, features on the cover of Harper's Bazaar's March issue talks and about her upbringing, life, marriage and motherhood.

"I had such an exposed childhood," the actress told the magazine. "I appreciate my journey, but I don't want that for my kid. Not any of it. It has nothing to do with whether I liked my childhood. I really did. But as a parent, that isn't the childhood that I'd provide," the "50 First Dates" actress added in reference to her rehab stint at the tender age of 13.

Talking about how the arrival of Olive has changed her life, she explained how she wanted to give the best to her daughter and that everything else has become secondary to her. "I asked my mother-in-law questions. I psycho-stalked all of the nurses with so many questions. I asked every single question," she said.

Olive is the first child for the actress, who is married to art consultant Will Kopelman. Barrymore is also the godmother of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. The actress plans to raise her daughter Jewish and also plans to convert to Judaism soon as she claims the religion gives her peace.

The actress also spoke about her line of makeup "Flower" that will soon be launched. Talking about the inspiration for her makeup line she said, "I grew up in a makeup chair. And to see the women around me getting ready was so aspirational."
