Reality star Bethanny Frankel appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and as expected opened up about her divorce with husband of two years, Jason Hoppy. The former couple has continuously been getting media attention since the two announced the split Dec. 23 and subsequently filed for divorce Jan.5.
"I really put it out there - I wanted the fairytale, I thought I had it. And [my daughter] Bryn is my fairytale... but I don't know how people go through [divorce] because this is excruciating," Frankel said on the show, according to sheknows.com.
Frankel has always been open about her relationship and marriage to Hoppy.
Breaking down in front of fans and audience of the show, she said that she feels like she is "a failure."
Rumors of trouble in the wedding were heard months before the split. The truth eventually came out as the reality star has always been open about her life.
After the split was announced, the 42-year-old took to Twitter to vent out her emotions. "I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family," she had posted. Following this tweet, Frankel received numerous tweets from her followers.
On the show, Frankel admitted to drawing support from her fans. "I get letters. So many people have been so supportive and some people are judgmental. And I really understand."
The former couple, who married in 2010, has famously documented their relation and marriage through two reality show "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After..."
The star who shot to fame after her stint in "The Real Housewives of New York City" in 2008, has since founded her "Skinnygirl" line of cocktails, shapewear and nutritional supplements, released a fitness video and also published a novel "Skinnydipping." Her talk show titled "Bethenny" is set to go on air in 2013.
